After a week of intense voting in the final round of the SiriusXM Hits 1 Pop Prom, the results are in. It was last year’s winner Louis Tomlinson up against Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie for prom king, and Ariana Grande battled it out against Demi Lovato for prom queen. So, who took home the crown?
The prom king vote was tied at 50/50 up until the last hour, when Urie officially pulled ahead to win by just one percent. Urie is undoubtedly a SiriusXM favorite this year, with Pray for the Wicked taking the No. 1 album slot and “Say Amen” topping the Weekend Countdown for the fourth week in a row.
The Lovatics came out strong to support Lovato for prom queen, but in the end, the Arianators secured the win for Grande. With her fourth studio album Sweetener due out next month, Grande is unstoppable right now.
Congratulations to our 2018 Pop Prom king and queen, Brendon Urie and Ariana Grande!
