Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow spoke with SiriusXM NFL Radio during training camp about why he loves coming to work and the quality he values most in wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
“That’s why we play, right?” Burrow said. “That’s why you come to work. That’s why you enjoy coming to work. You build relationships that last forever. You build friends that you’re gonna be friends with for the rest of your life and people you stay in contact with. At the end of the day, that’s why I do what I do. That’s why I’ve always worked so hard, because it’s fun going to work every day with your friends.”
On Ja’Marr Chase, Burrow said, “I think he’s really smart. If you talk about something, you tell him something one time, maybe he doesn’t do something exactly the way he’s supposed to, the next time he’s gonna do it right. And that’s something that’s really rare. Not a lot of guys can take what we install and what we talk about in meeting rooms and put it on the field immediately. And he’s one of those guys.”
