Lindsay Hubbard and West Wilson Signed a Contract on a Napkin the Night They Met
On today’s episode of Radio Andy’s “The Julia Cunningham Show,” special guests Lindsay Hubbard and West Wilson from “Summer House” revealed the story behind how they first met on a night out at the club.
“We had a couple drinks and somehow starting talking about … a podcast idea,” West said. “And then, Lindsay goes — ’cause I worked at Bleacher Report at the time — she was like, ‘If you steal this and take it to Bleacher Report, I’ll f*** you up.'”
According to West, Lindsay went so far as to have him sign a contract on a bar napkin promising not to take their podcast idea to his then-employer.
“We probably took a blood oath,” West joked. “But after, now, knowing Lindsay, it’s the most insane meet-story ever.”
Lindsay confirmed that she had made West sign the napkin contract and then didn’t talk to him again for a year.
“I went on with my life, doing whatever I was doing, planning a wedding, getting engaged to Carl [Radke], blah, blah, blah,” Lindsay said. “They start casting for Season 8, and I was like, ‘Wait, I have this guy.’ Meanwhile, I have not spoken to him in a year since that night that I made him sign a contract with me, and I submitted him to casting.”
She added, “They wind up reaching out, and he then reached out to me, and he was like, ‘Is there something you want to tell me?’ because I completely forgot to tell him.”
“The Julia Cunningham Show” is a live, one-hour pop culture and entertainment show airing weekdays at 3pm ET/12pm PT from the SiriusXM LA Studios. Stream previous episodes anytime on the SiriusXM app.
